Float Therapy in St Albans

Benefits of float therapy

Open pool floatation offers a powerful combination of physical relief, mental clarity, and deep relaxation. Whether you’re recovering from exercise, managing stress, or simply looking for a moment of calm, floating provides a unique and effective way to reset both body and mind.

Deep Stress Relief

Floatation removes external stimuli, no gravity pressure, no noise, no distractions. Allowing your nervous system to fully relax. This can help reduce stress, calm anxiety, and promote mental clarity.

Improved Sleep

Many people experience deeper, more restorative sleep after floating. The combination of relaxation and magnesium absorption helps the body unwind and reset natural sleep cycles.

Wellness Boost

The high concentration of Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) can support muscle relaxation, circulation, and overall wellbeing.

Why float at being in St Albans?

Most people who want to try floating end up travelling to London. At being, you have a dedicated float centre in the middle of St Albans. Your float room is completely private with a full-size open pool, not a sealed pod. There is no lid, no enclosure, and the ceiling is high. I visited for the first time yesterday and experienced both the float therapy and the infrared sauna. I regularly use sauna, but it's nice to have your own private one to relax in. It was my first time trying the float therapy and I will definitely do it again, the sense of weightlessness is a little surreal and has to be experienced. It was great to be able to switch off, turn out the lights and float and sleep. Overall, it's a great way to spend an hour or two to relieve some of that midweek stress. The venue is immaculate, it smells great and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend and will be bringing my other half next time.

I visited for the first time yesterday and in truth did not know what to expect. From the minute i walked in, i felt calmer, and the whole team were very welcoming. After an hour at Being, i came away feeling relaxed and recharged, and the floatation was unlike anything i have experienced before (in a good way). I plan to visit again soon

Having visited today not fully understanding what Float Therapy was, I was excited to find out more. I was not disappointed. It was my first visit to Being and from the moment I entered all the team were so welcoming. The checkin process was smooth and before I knew it, I was being shown to my Float private room. The experience was so relaxing and a fantastic experience and I look forward to going again. I finished the experience with a 30min stint in their Infrared sauna. I would highly recommend Being and I had a wonderful couple of very relaxing hours!

Visited for a 30 minute Sauna and 60 minute float. The team are all attentive, happy to help, warm & welcoming. The lounge area is cosy to relax before and between treatments. Sauna is large, clean, comfortable with a shower in the private room. The float experience was so relaxing. Large open pool, clean and different lighting options. Flip flops, towels, robe etc are all provided - as well as ear plugs and neck float for the pool. Could not fault anything and look forward to returning.

I had a float. I was a bit nervous having had a not great experience in a floatation tank in the past. The staff were amazing which helped my nerves immensely. I really enjoyed the experience even if I did sleep through most of it! I'll certainly be going back again soon.
